Whoa, this is one heavy set of silverware! I do like substantial silverware, but this is overkill. Quality okay for price. Returned our set.

Forged flatware features superb pattern definition, heavy gauge pieces with a sturdy feel, and in the case of this pattern, generous sizing. Garnet is a contemporary design that features both polished and frosted finishes, as well as an interesting sculpted treatment at the tip of each piece.The Satin Garnet flatware from Oneida combines luxurious weight with a sleek, elegant styling and excellent definition. The handles feature a rounded flourish at the end complemented by an eye-catching arc in profile and gleaming working ends. An inset satin-finish accent completes the effect. Generously oversized after the European fashion, the Satin Garnet pieces are substantial in the hand without clumsiness. Oneida forges them from high-quality stainless steel with 18 percent chrome for maximum corrosion-resistance and 10 percent nickel for a silver-like luster. This 65-piece set includes place settings for 12, each with a 9-1/2-inch place knife, 8-inch place fork, 7-inch place spoon, 7-inch salad fork, and 6-1/4-inch teaspoon. The serving pieces include a butter knife, sugar spoon, serving fork, serving spoon, and pierced serving spoon. Oneida nestles the set in a wooden caddy with smooth beveled edges.
