I purchased this item as a Christmas gift for my mom during December. It arrived on time no problem. After reading some reviews beforehand about how this product didn't fit some sinks, I measured my mom's sink before purchasing. It's a perfect size for my mom's sink and she loves it. We're only a family of three so it meets our needs wonderfully. We don't have any problems cleaning it, but then again we don't wash our rice either. '.~

Description of Oneida Expanding Colander

Stainless steel over the sink expanding basket with Santoprene covered handles. Polished black.
Make efficient use of valuable kitchen sink space with Oneida's expanding colander. Easy to size with two rubber handles that slide out to rest securely on the sink's rim, the fine mesh basket hangs between them in the air, so it doesn't get contaminated by other food, liquids, or soap suds on the sink floor. The oval basket measures 13-1/4 by 9 inches and is crafted of durable stainless steel that resists corrosion, stains, and odors. Steel rods frame the colander for added strength, and four loop legs support it so it can be set on a counter or tabletop. Perfect for kitchens with only one sink or small spaces where every inch counts, this colander stores easily in a drawer when not in use. The handles extend up to 22 inches to fit larger sinks.
