I wanted to like this whisk more than I do. I have non-stick cookware and needed silicone utensils; this looked perfect. It feels nice in your hand, but the handle is heavy and tips out of the saucepan pretty easy. It looks great, I wish the handle weighed less.

The silicone-coated wires make this whisk harmless when it comes to non-stick surfaces. The long, lean shape is ideal for emulsifying or blending within narrow containers. A Santorprene hilt gives you a very firm grip, so you can whisk like a wild woman, or man...A more elegant, professional whisk would be hard to find. Weighted for balance, the highly polished stainless-steel handle is sensuous to hold and stays slip-free thanks to the flared neoprene thumb rest. Each of the flexible stainless-steel wires is coated in clear silicone, a modern material making a splash on kitchen products. Silicone won't discolor or absorb odors, won't scratch ceramic, metal, or nonstick bowls and cookware, and is heat-resistant to 600 degrees F (315 degrees C), making it ideal for whisking hot sauces right on the stove. The slick nature of silicone allows the whisk to slide smoothly along the insides of bowls and pots.
